What have I gotten myself into?
While intrigued by fantasy monster and creature dildos, it has never been my primary interest but when BigShocked reached out to me to review one of their toys, I decided it was a great opportunity to investigate a knotted canine dildo - the Fenris Flame.
I have to confess that my first response upon opening the package which contained the Fenris dildo was laughter. It was indeed a Big Shock. However beautiful the BigShocked Fenris Flame was, there was no chance this thing was going to fit inside my body. What had I gotten myself into?
I really needed to start comprehending measurements on websites a whole lot better...
Once over my initial shock, I was able to take in the silicone sculpture for what it was. It’s gorgeous! The detail and lines of the Fenris Flame are very well done and the silicone feels great in my hand. It is made from a lovely squishy silicone, a requirement for a toy this size, and I found the weight of it wonderful to hold.
I love the colours! The colour profile of red, orange, and white is called Flame Sakura, and it is one of five really attractive and interesting colour options the toy comes in. I really appreciate a company using unusual colours in their toys. While pink and purple are perfectly fine colours, the variety is a very nice change. I was very torn between the Flame and the Taurus, a stunning turquoise and gold combo but ultimately decided I really liked the red (and who doesn’t love sakura cherry blossoms?).
Made from premium platinum silicone, the Fenris Flame is body safe and should be used with a water-based or hybrid lubricant. Lots and lots and lots of lubricant. But I may be getting ahead of myself…
I don’t normally include a ton of measurements since you can get that info on their website but since the size was such a shock to me, I figure I will lay it out ahead in case your eyes tend to glaze over that piece of a web page the way mine do. According to BigShocked the Fenris has a total Length: 9.84", Insertable Length: 8.66", Diameter of Head: 1.18", Diameter of mid Shaft: 2.16", Diameter of lower shaft: 2.04"
Those shaft diameters in real life are more intimidating than they seem on paper. I could not actually wrap my (admittedly small) hand around the Fenris at the thick ‘knot, and it is not anatomically possible for me to fit the entire length in my vag, no matter how much ‘tenting’ it does when I’m turned on - my canal simply isn’t that long and I think that is probably the case for many. For anal acrobats, this toy could be a fun challenge but anyone who has read my book knows that would not be me.
For comparison, here’s a photo of the Fenris next to my two other largest toys, the Swan Wand and the Njoy Eleven.
The Fenris ends with a great flared base which is domed in a way that it can act as a suction cup on the wall of shower or your firm, flat surface of choice. The head of my Magic Wand Rechargeable also fit well in the dome and I was able to play with vibrations flowing through the toy as it filled me. And fill me it did!
It took me several evenings of working at it and what seemed like half a bottle of lube to get the knot of the BigShocked Fenris inside me. Thankfully the tip is pleasant on its own, and the angle of it, once I was able to get it in me, hit the A spot near my cervix and I about lost my mind with pleasure. The Fenris dildo is probably the closest I will ever come to being fisted, as even those sexyfriends with ‘tiny, perfect hands’ have been unsuccessful at their attempts, and those hands are not made of lovely, squishy silicone the way the Fenris is. I have never felt so full in my life and I found myself having aftershock orgasms for about 5 minutes after I finished with the toy.
So, for size royalty, those wishing to train to become size royalty, or for those with a canine knot fetish, the BigShocked Fenris Flame is a great option. For everyone else, it is definitely a great conversation piece and is attractive enough to display on a shelf. And compared to other fantasy toy companies, the price point at BigShocked is very reasonable (or ‘adorable’ as their website says), especially considering the amount of silicone going into a toy like the Fenris.
