I have to confess that when I opened up the packaging I was not expecting a lot from the Nalone Jane Double Ended Waterproof Wand Vibrator. It is very light and when I first turned it on, it was incredibly buzzy, which I know isn’t what my body needs to get off. Nalone is not a company I am familiar with and when I did some googling found much of their stock sold on a certain express site as well as on a certain billionaire’s site. That didn’t bode especially well.
I soon discovered that in my initial investigation I’d only turned on the insertable end and that the wand end, while not the rumbliest vibe (and how could it be based on its size), when pressed against my body had more power and rumble than I would have expected.
The Nalone Jane Double Ended Waterproof Wand Vibrator is made from lovely soft, squishy silicone and has magnetic charging pads so it is fully waterproof for those of you who enjoy using toys in the shower or bath. I’m not that person so I didn’t test out how it functioned in the wet. And can I reiterate how nice it would be for companies to agree on a universal magnetic charger so we don’t have to have all the cords organized and labelled so carefully to know what goes with what.
The buttons on the Jane are fairly easy to activate and there are separate on/off for both vibes. You cycle through the 3 vibration levels and 4 pulsation patterns with the same button which means there’s a lot of extra clicking to cycle back if you forget what level you’re on and think, “Is there more?”. I was surprised that unlike the somewhat similar Lush Gia, only one of the motors will run at a time, which might make sense to some, but when you’re looking for all the vibe you can get out of a small wand, the added secondary motor buzz is an excellent feature.
The slim, insertable length of the Nalone Jane Double Ended Waterproof Wand Vibrator is a bit of a letdown as it doesn’t reach as deep inside me as I like with an insertable vibrator. The entire toy is 11’ long, but only 4 of that is insertable making it more a g-spot vibe. The curve also works well for g-spots when thrusting with it and the wand end makes a decent handle to grip. Unfortunately the controls disappear once it is fully inserted and you have to pull it out to adjust the settings.
The squishiness of the silicone could be a boon to those who like their vibrations a little more diffuse but I found it to be a bit of a drawback as it was harder to keep the head of the wand in exactly the right place. As I also like to lie on my stomach and grip the base of the head with my fingertips, it wasn’t as easy to grab as a firmer silicone. The grooved, sculpted shape does also have the drawback of being hard to get fully clean and there always ends up being extra scrubbing involved to get rid of those pesky leftovers.
Overall, the Nalone Jane Double Ended Waterproof Wand Vibrator was able to get me off and would be a good toy for those who like their vibration muffled by squishy silicone. The price point is good for a rechargeable double ended waterproof vibrator and it would fit easily in your travel bag, but for me, the similar Lush Gia, though a bit more expensive, is a better investment.
